Get to know four international speakers already confirmed for TICAL2016

The TICAL conference defined four of the international speakers expected to share their experiences with the Latin American ICT community between September 13 and 15, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where will be held the sixth edition of the event.

From the country that will receive TICAL comes Henoch Aguiar, specialist in digital communications and policies born in Cordoba. Since December 2015 he is vice president of Arsat S.A. (national state company engaged in providing telecommunications services through a combination of land, air and space infrastructure).

The second name is the mexican Maria Elena Chan, researcher at the University of Guadalajara with twenty years of experience in design and innovation in education. Foundress of the Institute of Knowledge and Learning Management in Virtual Environments. She is part of the Mexican National Researchers System. Maria Elena has taught more than 300 workshops on online educational design, training for competence and development of digital educational materials in Mexican institutions and abroad. Currently, she coordinates the project on Mega Trends in Higher Education, of the State Council for Higher Education Planning of the State of Jalisco (Mexico) as well as the Environments Scenarios and Virtual Education Objects Seminar (Initiative of the Organization of American States - OAS), since 2006.

From North America also comes Marc Hoit, vice chancellor for Information Technology at NC State University. He has lead the development of a campus wide IT Strategic Plan, an IT Governance Structure and launched a number of key foundational projects that have improved efficiency and effectiveness of IT on campus. He is Chair of the SURA IT Committee and was recently an Educause board member.

Finally, the brazilian Antonio Rivas is also confirmed as a speaker of TICAL2016. Antonio Rivas is an executive partner with Gartner Executive Programs, with 25 years of senior IT executive experience in large national and multinational telecommunications, retail and financial services companies. Rivas has expertise in the development and deployment of enterprise architectures, applications and systems; governance models and methodologies; and the development and management of multidisciplinary high-performance team.
